The Bailey Family
We are second generation grocers. We purchased the business from Bryan's folks in 2007. Before that we worked in the business along side his folks and the family had shares. Tammy (I) learned the business from Bryan's dad Richard. Before that I worked for the Tumwater School district. Bryan has always worked in the grocery business. He also built his own guiding and hunting business with his partner and guides all over the world. I was raised on a dairy farm and we had horses from the start as my mother and family loved them as they were all in different things cutting, showing, drill, racing etc.. Growing up I did drill team, gaming, rodeo, futurities, dressage, cow penning, and much more but fell in love with barrel racing. Bryan and I are high-school sweethearts! As we both graduated from Rochester Highschool. We have literally built our life together for over 35 years. We started with just a few horses. Through the years we have built it into a small ranch outside the small town of Onalaska we call home, with a lot of work! We have one daughter Jordan who also took a love of the horse and is growing as a barrel horse futurity trainer. She is taking a special interest in the futurity side of things which is extremely tuff. Jordan and I definitely have the same goals as we both want to breed and train great barrel horses. It's important to us that anyone can ride behind Jordan and our program and be successful. I now just coach Jordan and do some slower work as my health just won't take it anymore. I still love to do the slow work!
Our vision here at Star Bailey Ranch is: To pass on great bloodlines that we know work. To offer young prospects raised from our own stallions and mares. To build great relationships through lessons and training to help all levels of riders and horses, that we have raised or that have been brought to us.
We want everyone that has been a part of our program to be successful at their own level. To give back to the industry and always be a patriot and back the blue! That is important to us.
As we continue the path forward in our breeding program it’ll give Jordan more opportunities to work with some great bloodlines. Opportunities are what you make of them and Jordan is sure to continue making some great horses in her training program. She has continued to prove time and time again she has the ability to produce top level athletes.
